Since 2001, tuition fees have skyrocketed here at UBCSUO. In fact, tuition fees have more than tripled. This massive increase in fees has become a huge barrier to those seeking post-secondary education, and an onerous financial burden on those who do decide to participate.  In fact, participation in Post-Secondary Education has declined among low and middle-income households, and the average rate of student debt is on the rise. 

This year, the UBCSUO Board of Governors is expected to vote to increase tuition fees yet again, despite the dramatic increases over the past seven years. Your Students’ Union, the UBCSUO, is working hard to organize against this increase. This effort needs your support if it is to have any impact.
